Introducing: Uwari -"Imma Star"

Born and raised in New Jersey, Uwari is a youthful, energetic Pop and Hip Hop princess. She has been exposed to music since she was 5 years old. Uwari has grown with the popular music oldies of the late 80's, all the way through present day music. She started developing as an artist a little over a year and a half ago, developing fans and supporters at every show case, competition, and performance she has taken part of. Her free spirit and positive attitude always keep listeners looking for more.

"I actually kinda stumbled into music. I didn't know it was meant for me until I just tried it out. But I believe I am a true musician at heart because I express myself through my lyrics; it's like two people having a conversation, except I speak my message through song and beat."

Along with her music,  Uwari's wild fashion sense turns heads when she hits the stage. "I'm colorful... I like the colorful vintage stuff that I can feel comfortable in, while still looking and feeling sexy and original."
Find out Uwari's latest music hits when you READ MORE!

Hitting the stage with energetic hit singles like "Super Energized," "I"mma Star," and "O.D.," Uwari is well on her way to fame, leaving a unforgettable impression through her music. Currently Uwari is working on her music portfolio, preparing several collaborations with up and coming artists, making new tracks, and shooting videos. She is ready to shake up the music world, and the world will start bopping their heads and moving their bodies when she hits the club scene.

Feature Fridays: Welcoming Dimir J to the world of R&B!

Vladimir Jacob aka Dimir J grew up in Newark, NJ. The name Dimir J originated from his aunt who use to call him Little Dimir and he carried it on as his stage name. Growing up he was really athletic and involved himself into sports such as soccer, running track and playing basketball. Singing was more so a hobby for him but he knew he wanted to pursue singing as a career during a performance he did in high school. Dimir J sang  Usher's well know song "Lovers and Friends" and to his surprise a female in the audience actually fainted, from then on it was a rush and he wanted to recreate, Dimir J was immediately addicted.
As a vocalist and writer he idolized Stevie Wonder, Prince and the late great Michael Jackson. "Three completely different styles mastered, they are amazing," says Dimir J!  He feels like their love, pain and joy were expressed through every record to make beautiful music.
Since Dimir J was known to be so into sports his family continued to view music as past time for him and didn't want him to put too much time into it. They preached to him about focusing on school and a "real" career but his friends saw something promising in his talent and were always showing him support. Dimir J's sister is his biggest supporter, growing up they spent a lot of time together and although she is much younger than him she helped him make his transition to an artist more fun than frustrating. Attending Newark Tech high school was definitely an experience that played as a catalyst in his music. Being in the music production workshop class and meeting talented peers (which he still continues to work with today), he cut class daily with them to go sing, dance, write and would stay after school for hours just having fun with his craft. His audience has always shown him love and support and have been impatiently waiting for new music.
Find out what projects Dimir J is working and and extra surprise when you READ MORE!

Welcome to Jazzy V's World!

Destined to bring on a new light to Hip Hop and female rap artists today, Jazzy V has her eyes set on the spotlight of the music industry and she's paving the way to this road she calls success. Born Valerie Denise Hubbert, Jazzy V, better known as the "Queen of the South" grew up in Adamsville, Georgia right outside the city of Atlanta. With a growing passion for music, she started writing and performing her own songs. After spending time in the studio, she got in her groove of music and it led her to choose her first single titled, “P*ssy Whipped”. She became an instant hit on the streets of Atlanta in 2003, and the single stirred great amounts of attention and accolade that drove her competitors to step their game up.

Jazzy V appeared in the Dem Franchize Boys video for “In My White Tee” and her music was already made known to the listening ear. Later on, she sparked the interest of Bleu Divinci (BMF), Paul Cain (Street Fam) and Baby D of (Oomp Camp Records) whom she recorded the song entitled “Rich B*tch” with in 2005. Moving forward she continued to preform and record more and more music. In her most recent days in 2010 she branched out up north to gain the respect of New Jersey and New York  by working with several artist that are also on the rise to success.

Her destiny continues on as she is keeping busy in the studio and working hard to ensure top quality productions. She knows how difficult it is for female rap artists in today’s limelight. Jazzy V is ready to conquer the plights in her pathway, complete the tasks ahead and compete with herself to continuously improve her lyrical skills.

Make sure to look out for her long awaited debut album with a number of tracks produced by BI of Mpire Entertainment coming out some time in 2011.

Artist in his surrounding area like Redman, The Fugees, among several others paved the way for this lyricist to express his creative ability. His name M.I.L stands for Muzik Iz Lyphe and for him, hitting the mic is just as natural as breathing air.
Some of his musical inspirations include Hip-Hop legends Big L, Raekwon, Kool G. Rap, Snoop Dogg, The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac.
M.I.L. formulated his lyrical skills through listening to Wu-Tang Clan, N.W.A, and Redman’s Muddy Waters as a young teen, although his mom didn't condone the kind of music he was listening to. After being featured on BET’s Black College Tour, he auditioned for the main event at 106 & Park in NYC, where many freestyle battle artists took the crown and gained alot of recognition . After he participated in 7 battles in the NYC audition, M.I.L. battled freestyle emcee Sam-I-Am but was later disqualified.
Experiencing a taste of the limelight has encouraged M.I.L to show creativity at its best and he has blessed the mic and been present on stage with with headliners like the Lox, Mobb Deep, Rick Ross, Lil’ Scrappy and Lyfe Jennings. He has released 10 mixtapes and 1 street compilation titled, “On Top of My Game”. "Music Mondays"- I SWEAR 2 God by Allstarr Da Great

Rapper Aswan Minatee, better known as Allstarr, was born in Newark, NJ. Growing up in such a challenging neighborhood where many youths fall short of success, Allstarr kept busy playing the sport he loved, basketball! He played for the nationally ranked basketball team of St. Benedicts Prep. Letting the streets take over his image of positivity, Allstarr lost his Division 1 scholarship. “I got serious with rapping my senior year in the high because I was slick with the words and after not making the best decisions I had to go to Trinity Valley in Texas while my friends where going to big name schools.” says Allstarr as he recounts his basketball days.

Soon after that he decided to make a move down south. Several times a week he would take a 2 hour trip to Dallas, Texas to work with G Music Group. He worked in the same studio with artist such as Erykah Badu, Slim Thug and many more. He promoted his music through Internet sources on popular websites and was featured on MTV’s Bubbling Under the Radar for “My Jealousy." On the website HipHopGame.com, his song titled "My Jealousy" was one of the top played songs in history! His best move yet would be his trip back to NJ. “I recorded Snap, Snap, Snap back in NJ, I just asked the engineer what do you do when you’re snapping? And I just had fun with the beat." From this foot forward, he has been nothing but on the rise and on his grind.
