Introducing: Uwari -"Imma Star"

Born and raised in New Jersey, Uwari is a youthful, energetic Pop and Hip Hop princess. She has been exposed to music since she was 5 years old. Uwari has grown with the popular music oldies of the late 80's, all the way through present day music. She started developing as an artist a little over a year and a half ago, developing fans and supporters at every show case, competition, and performance she has taken part of. Her free spirit and positive attitude always keep listeners looking for more.

"I actually kinda stumbled into music. I didn't know it was meant for me until I just tried it out. But I believe I am a true musician at heart because I express myself through my lyrics; it's like two people having a conversation, except I speak my message through song and beat."

Along with her music,  Uwari's wild fashion sense turns heads when she hits the stage. "I'm colorful... I like the colorful vintage stuff that I can feel comfortable in, while still looking and feeling sexy and original."

Feature Fridays: Welcoming Dimir J to the world of R&B!

Vladimir Jacob aka Dimir J grew up in Newark, NJ. The name Dimir J originated from his aunt who use to call him Little Dimir and he carried it on as his stage name. Growing up he was really athletic and involved himself into sports such as soccer, running track and playing basketball. Singing was more so a hobby for him but he knew he wanted to pursue singing as a career during a performance he did in high school. Dimir J sang  Usher's well know song "Lovers and Friends" and to his surprise a female in the audience actually fainted, from then on it was a rush and he wanted to recreate, Dimir J was immediately addicted.
As a vocalist and writer he idolized Stevie Wonder, Prince and the late great Michael Jackson. "Three completely different styles mastered, they are amazing," says Dimir J!  He feels like their love, pain and joy were expressed through every record to make beautiful music.
Since Dimir J was known to be so into sports his family continued to view music as past time for him and didn't want him to put too much time into it. They preached to him about focusing on school and a "real" career but his friends saw something promising in his talent and were always showing him support. Dimir J's sister is his biggest supporter, growing up they spent a lot of time together and although she is much younger than him she helped him make his transition to an artist more fun than frustrating. Attending Newark Tech high school was definitely an experience that played as a catalyst in his music. Being in the music production workshop class and meeting talented peers (which he still continues to work with today), he cut class daily with them to go sing, dance, write and would stay after school for hours just having fun with his craft. His audience has always shown him love and support and have been impatiently waiting for new music.
Find out what projects Dimir J is working and and extra surprise when you READ MORE!
