EnterMisses is an entertainment group that was founded in August of 2006 by Shakirah Ewell. EnterMisses, short for Entertainment Misses, was developed to influence and promote future entertainment industry leaders by providing public relations services and peer support. It is comprised of African-American females who are trying to make a significant mark in the industry.
So far the women in the group have worked and/or been associated with Newark Illustrated, Schwartzman & Associates in LA, The Source Magazine, Remy Lotion and Right On Magazine. When the women of EnterMisses have free time, their time is spent doing community service such as at the Windsor Nursing Home in East Orange, NJ and at the Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark, NJ. The plan is to continue to set a positive influence for other ladies in the community and to continually collaborate with underground artists.
Our motto is “Ladies with a Purpose” and we are dedicated to live out our motto to the best of our ability. Nothing shall stand in our way and we will continue being determined to achieve our goals while being a stepping-stone for our sisters around us.
